Every time I am at the river I wonder why the hell I stopped.
I am so incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by friends who remind me it was a busy year, I'm doing a lot and yes, I am taking comfort in food while other parts of my life are chaotic.
Amen friends. Amen.
Peter played his last HS baseball game on Sunday. I actually went. I witnessed his phenomenal roll, catch, and throw! I saw them win. Next up, the summer league.
It is week nine at the salon. And yes, it is getting easier every day. This week, the bathroom is under renovation. Jimmy hung the mirror for the many six foot tall women who work there...
Thankfully he is completing that project over the weekend and the mirror will be lowered.
I ignored the chirp from the cell phone and the real phone. My kids have distinctive rings and of course, I would have answered them, but everyone and everything could wait.
My glasses are STILL not ready which is why you are dealing with the web silence.
Over the weekend several people commented to me that they either read the blog when they first woke up or before they went to bed. One friend reads it out loud to her husband. THAT is humbling.
For sticking around here.
For sharing in my stories.
For reading the blog to your spouse.
All love on a Tuesday afternoon.
(And yes, I am home from the river for a couple of hours now!)
Josh is my pick to win The Voice tonight.
(I listened to it while I was writing this blog...)
When laying with you I could stay there,
Close my eyes, feel you here forever,
You and me together, nothing gets better.
