I got this message from my friend Kim yesterday morning.

Later on in the day I got a message from another friend telling me Kim was hospitalized with a blood clot in her arm that they discovered in the morning.

If you would all take a moment and send Kim some strength, some love, some prayers, some light, some healing, I would be most grateful.

If you have any words of wisdom to share with Kim, please do so. She needs to be uplifted any way we can.

PS - although THIS post is for my darling girlfriend Kim, there are so very many fighting this fight, so, if collectively we could send a little love to anyone you know who is bravely doing battle against cancer, well, I think we might just see the sky light up with all that love.

So true Maggie so true. I'm not sure how long I will be in the hospital but I'm feeling a bit better today. Thank you, thank you ❤

I don't know Kim but I sure know people who have fought like Kim is. Just wanted to let her know I'm praying for her this morning ...Kim, may you RISE UP in STRENGTH and fight on. I love this reminder from 2 Corinthians 12:9 that there is GREAT POWER perfected in weakness and we don't fight our battles on our own -- "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me."

I am also reminded of this quote and how true it is ...
"The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion, gentleness, and a deep loving concern. People who fight this fight are beautiful beyond measure. Praying for you, Kim.

Aw Col-Rob, YOU are fabulous. AND, you probably *do* know Kim because she and I were on the Advisory Board together and I am fairly certain at the very least I introduced you to all the AB Girls.

PLUS, Kim designs GORGEOUS creations involving a lot of glitter, and ribbon, and products and you know, ALL the same stuff YOU adore!

LOVED this, "People who fight this fight are beautiful beyond measure."

I loved reading the comments. It made me feel so good to be reminded how good people really are. I am still in the hospital. They are having trouble accessing my port. I'm hoping they can clear it with meds instead of having another surgery. I'll do what I have to do but let's hope it's the easier route. :) on another note - the food here really isn't terrible and my cute little dietician is getting me the deli menu today. Things are looking up ... ;). Wish I had some glitter and sparklies.. Oh wait, I do- you all have sparkled up my day- thank you so much Maggie, my glitter girl. :) :) :)
