At the salon, we are in the process of putting a computer system in place to keep track of absolutely everything that happens there from client contact info to schedules to appointments to inventory. This has been my fondest wish since I began there.
Guess who has to set the entire system up? Yeah. That would be me. I don't know why I thought it would magically come with all of the information pre-programmed in, but, I did.
Thank goodness for Cate! While I am working on one area of the program, she works on another.
This is going to take a few weeks...

The kicker is that this will be THE program to have...once the kinks are worked out.
While on the phone yesterday with my personal helper dude, Joseph, I found out there are only FOUR salons IN THE COUNTRY that are live with the program. The bumps, bruises and hiccups that come along when any software is new are to be expected.
I did this kind of work a hundred years ago for Verizon. One would think I would have remembered that.
And so, rather than throw my laptop across the room smashing it to smithereens, I backed away from it, took Bella shopping, and called the past two nights DONE long before they should have been called done.
Not only did I ask for paths of joy, I created some.
That's far more productive than destroying a laptop, no matter how much instant satisfaction that might have brought.
(Until I realized I was shit out of luck for having destroyed said laptop.)
Here's to a day of happiness, health, creativity, ease and of course, joy.
I will be AT the salon today which makes working on the program quite nearly impossible, thus, I fully expect to experience EACH of these.
