So, where have I been?
The prescription for my eyeglasses changed and with my new glasses I had a few challenges - mostly, I was feeling seasick. My old glasses aren't strong enough and the new glasses were too strong. As a result, using the computer is really difficult. By 9:30 at night my eyes are bloodshot and tearing. It's crazy! The new glasses have been sent back to be corrected and hopefully, I will be on the road to perfect sight again.
Let's fill you all in.
Mother's Day was a fine day.
It's interesting when a fake holiday ends up as a family sit-down/discussion/meeting that lasts nearly two hours. Things. Got. Said. That. Needed. To. Be. Said.
In the end, it was all good.
Monday was Shyla the psychic day. Always a treat and always enlightening. That was followed by the Senior Game for Peter's baseball team. I couldn't be in two places, and while I was at baseball, Bella's lacrosse team won their game and are now the first Girls Lacrosse team in school history to win League Champion! That was followed by the rowdy study group for the AP US History exam. Also in attendance Monday night were the senior and his girlfriend watching The Voice with me and discussing "Assassin."
Assassin is a game played by wacky teenagers armed with water guns/bottles/pumps/hoses. They are given a target and their job is to take the target down with water. No shooting on school property, during sporting events, while walking to and from school or at a place of business where someone could get fired. After that - there are no rules - except my own house rules which state - do NOT do anything completely stupid and so help me god if anyone shoots through the living room screen into the house I will beat them myself. There are elaborate covert schemes, alliances are formed, and yes, boyfriend and girlfriends need to take each other down. The last person standing wins. It started Sunday at midnight. It could go on for a while.
Tuesday was go into the salon and get some color on this head. And chop a bunch of veggies for salads for the week. Make some guacamole. Work on a few spells...
It's spring-ish, except when it's not. People are generally a little happier, hair is a little lighter, babies are being pushed all over the place in strollers, runners are running, walkers are walking, and the days are going by at a steady clip.
I try to sit and bear witness to the fabulousness surrounding me.
Good luck to my Bella and all the others talking APUSH ~ may you all get 5's.
Have the best Wednesday.
xo
Cause it will not last forever.
These are the days to hold onto
Cause we won't although we'll want to.
