How often do we forget that? I know I matter. I still need to occasionally remind myself that I really DO.
I could have easily (that might be the wrong word...) gone to the gym this morning. Instead, I headed to the river. I knew I needed my Hudson fix. It is there I always clear my head and focus.
There are a small number of boats in slips at the docks. The sailboats at the school have had their tarps removed. The birds were in flight.
It's not at all what I would call a sunny day in NY and I couldn't swim in the Hudson, but boy, I could drink in the wild air.
While drinking in the air and observing the grandeur around me, I called my mom. We chatted about a zillion different things. Because my mom matters. And I'm her kid, so I matter to her.
WE ALL MATTER. Believe it. Remember it. KNOW it.
Gorgeous piano piece.
I thought it went well with the topic.
